Polish cellist Joanna Sachryn convinces with her unconventional expressiveness and personality. His debut with Lalo's concert brought her great success in her native Poland. At the age of 16 after concerts in Paris and London, the British “Observer” highlighted her extraordinary expressiveness. At age 17 she became the youngest lead solo cellist at the Stettin Opera. She studied in Frankfurt with Gerhard Mantel and in London with William Pleeth. She also studied repertoire with Mstislav Rostropovich and Daniil Shafran.

She has performed with numerous orchestras such as the Munich Philarmonich, London Philharmonia Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, State Orchestra Stuttgart, Philarmonic Orchestra Regensburg, German Radio Chamber Orchestra, Korean Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Deutsche Kammerphilarmonie Bremen, State Orchestra of Ploiesti and Oradea in Romania.

Since 1999 she has been a member of the Cologne Piano Trio, a group with an international trajectory of more than 30 years, and since 2009 she has been a member of the Vienna Cello Ensemble 5 -  1 made up of musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic.

She has performed at important festivals and auditoriums around the world such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, the Rheingau Festival, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, the Katowice International Cello Festival, the Vienna Musikverein, London's Royal Festival Hall, the Cecilia Merielles from Rio de Janeiro, Santory Hall in Tokyo, the National Art Center in Seoul, the Shanghai Symphony Hall .....

She teaches master classes around the world and she is also a professor at the Berlin Academy of Music, the Central Conservatory in Beijing, SHanghai Tongji University and Shanxi University.
